Boilermaker pride
Since its foundation in 1869, Purdue University has developed a rich history of tradition and school spirit. The representatives of these ideals, mascots of both past and present, hold a special responsibility of upholding the university's spirit of the student and alumni body. We see these icons hanging around on campus, pumping up the crowd at athletic events, and donating their time to individuals who need it in the greater Lafayette community. We dove in with a mission to find out why these mascots where created, how they have changed throughout history, and their impact throughout the network of Purdue University.
